What sets LWA apart from other music blogs?
Sometimes they focus too much on the non-music (e.g. a band’s fashion statements, the latest controversy surrounding a band’s tour cancellation, or why a lead singer loves bacon). We stick to the music.

Also, the 150-word reviews found on most music blogs have always left us wanting more. That’s why we try to provide thorough album reviews that dive deep into the music. Call us long-winded, just not to our faces.

Who died and made you guys the kings of album reviews?
Nobody. We’ll be the first to tell you that we’re no certified experts. We’re just two dudes who have always had a passion for music appreciation.

We try to stick to what we know (i.e. rock, folk and country), but every now and again we’ll take a chance on a Crapshoot Tuesday review.

What’s a Crapshoot Tuesday review?
It’s an album we choose via random selection. If nothing we’re aware of is coming out on a given Tuesday, we’ll take a gamble and go with an artist or band we’ve never heard of.

How come LWA waits a whole week to review an album?
We believe a solid review takes a while to gestate. Though we’d love to crank out reviews in a day or two, it takes time to hear out every song, follow an album down its rollercoaster ride and take a step back to provide a thorough critique. Plus, we’ve got day jobs.

Why doesn’t LWA give out very many low ratings?
We do our homework. We try to stick to reviewing good albums, for the benefit of our ears and yours.
